Malteser International’s team is deeply saddened by the brutal attacks on the satirical magazine „Charlie Hebdo“ in Paris. Our sympathy, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victims.
„We are shocked by this criminal act and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. We will never accept hate and fanatism to stifle the freedom of anyone,“ says Thierry de Beaumont-Beynac, President of Malteser International.
In the Jan. 7 attacks, 12 people lost their lives, including the editor-in-chief, the cartoonists and two policemen.
